IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Nancy J.
''Nan'' Soisson
September 30, 2024
Nancy J. "Nan" Soisson, a resident of Charlestown for over 40 years and formerly of Schenectady, New York, entered into eternal life on Monday, September 30, 2024, at Care Dimensions Hospice House in Lincoln, Massachusetts following a brave and valiant battle with ALS. She was 70 years of age.
Nan was born in Schenectady, New York on December 24, 1953, a daughter of the late Harold Edward Soisson (one of the scientists who worked on the atomic bomb) and Bertha Barbara (Kayuha) Soisson (one of Oppenheimer's secretaries). She grew up in Schenectady, New York where she was educated with her older sister Judith Anne until the family moved to the Philadelphia suburbs. She received her Bachelor's of Science Degree in Psychology from Ursinus College. She then furthered her education and received her Master's Degree from Northeastern University.
Nan started her career in marketing consumer packaged goods at Nestle, Pillsbury, Life Savers and HP Hood. She then decided to expand to software firms, creating Fisher Price Learning software for Spiinnaker software and Sensiteck for foot temperature monitoring devices. Following a successful career in corporate life, Nan began selling real estate and started working full time at Coldwell Banker in Charlestown and also managed her own property investments for the last 25 years while also working part-time at Crate & Barrel.
Although engaged twice, her love life never came together so she turned her passion to rescuing dogs - Golden Retrievers and English Setters.
Nan is the beloved daughter of the late Harold E. Soisson and Bertha (Kayuha) Soisson. She is the devoted sister of Dr. Judith Dahmann and her husband Donald Dahmann. She is the loving aunt to Kristina Dahmann and Nicholas Dahmann. She is also survived by her dedicated and loyal colleagues at Coldwell Banker Realtors.
Nan would love friends and family to donate to their favorite rescue or animal shelter in her memory.
Nan's Funeral Services and burial will be private.
