Nathan A. Parrin, a longtime resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston following a lengthy illness. He was 85 years old.
Nathan was born in Berlin, New Hampshire on August 10, 1929, a son of the late Archie Parrin and Elizabeth (Wheeler) Parrin. Nathan enlisted into the United States Army on April 10, 1951 and served his country with courage and pride during the Korean Conflict. He was discharged on March 14, 1956 with the rank of Specialist-3. Nathan worked as a merchant seaman for most of his adult life. He was a member of Bunker Hill American Legion Post # 26, North End Amvets Post # 144 and life member of V.F.W. Post # 1645 of Stoughton.
Nathan is the beloved brother of Margaret Lamke, Nancy Signet and the late John Parrin and Gertrude St. Pierre. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Nathan's Funeral Services and burial were held privately.
