Obituary

Patrick J. "Pat" Ryan, a lifelong resident of Somerville, entered into eternal life on Friday, April 2, 2021 at his home in Somerville. He was 74 years of age.

Pat was born in Somerville on February 22, 1947, a son of the late Dorothy (Roach) Podymaitis and Theodore Podymaitis . He grew up in Somerville where he was educated throughout the Somerville Public School system and graduated from Somerville High School. He furthered his education and graduated from The Massachusetts College of Arts. Pat worked in the Boston Public School system as an Art Teacher for many years. Pat's passions in his life were painting, drawing and gardening.

Pat is the beloved husband of the late John M. "Skip" Conley. He is the devoted brother of Maureen A. Ryan of Kingston, Rhode Island, John A. Ryan of Lewiston, Maine, Donna M. Canning of Orange, Michael S. Podymaitis of Somerville, William F. Podymaitis of Somerville, Catherine I. Santos of Somerville, Stephen J. Podymaitis of Leander, Louisiana and the late Rita R. Sarro. He is also survived by his many loving nieces and nephews who he loved spending time with.

At Pat's request his Funeral Services and burial will be private.
