Obituary

Phillip M. Griffis, a resident of Everett formerly of Somerville, entered into eternal rest on February 27, 2019 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He was 77 years of age.
Phillip was born in Somerville, son of the late Phillip and Catherine Griffis. He grew up in Somerville and was educated in the Somerville School system. Phillip worked for the Ames Envelope Company of Somerville as a Supervisor for many years. In his spare time he loved to fish.
Phillip was the loving husband of the late Mary C. (McNamee) and the loving father of Patrick Griffis of Cambridge and Patricia Griffis of Everett. He was the brother of Lillian Griffis of Windham, NH, George Griffis and his wife Anita of Somerville, Nancy McSweeney and her husband Neal of Medford and the late Catherine and Joe Griffis. He is also survived by his sister in law Marilyn Griffis of Waltham and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St., Charlestown on Sunday from 2-4PM. Interment private.
