Obituary

Reverened Walter D Miller, a Catholic Priest for the Diocese of Vermont for 53 years, entered into eternal life on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Rosewood Nursing & Rehabilitation Nursing Home in Peabody following an extended illness. He was 79 years old.

Fr. Miller was born in Boston on October 11, 1934, a son of the late Walter J. Miller and Anna F. (Fitzgibbon) Miller. He grew up in Medford where he was educated in the Medford Public School system and graduated from Medford High School. He entered St. John's Seminary in Boston and was ordained a Catholic Priest on February 2, 1961. Fr. Miller spent his next 53 years of his life as a priest serving the people of Vermont. Fr. Miller also spent 2 years in Rome at the North American College.

Fr. Miller is the devoted brother of Elizabeth A. DeFeo and her husband Donald of Wakefield and the late Paul J. Miller of Hull. He is also the loving uncle to many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Fr. Miller's Funeral Services and burial will be private.
