Obituary

Richard J. "Richie" Vraibel of Charlestown, entered into eternal life while vacationing in Brunswick, Georgia, on Saturday, November 29, 2025. He was 68 years old.

Richie was born in Boston on September 15, 1957 and grew up in Charlestown. Richie was a proud member of Teamsters Local 25. He worked for several union jobs over the years but his favorite job was being a driver for the Teamster's Movie Division. He retired from the Teamsters in 2019 and spent time traveling and fishing. Richie's favorite thing to do was to spend time at Castle Island with his dog, Rey.

Richie is the beloved husband of Mary Beth (Emerson) Vraibel. He is the devoted father of Ryan Vraibel and his wife, Jamie, Brendan Vraibel and his wife, Amy. He is the loving stepfather of Brendan Lovejoy and his wife, Mylissa, and Bridget Lovejoy. He is the proud 'Pops' to Emmett, Evan, Mia and Brendan.

He is the dear brother to Joseph and his wife, Linda of Texas, Robert and his wife, Paula of Dorchester, William and his wife, Christine of Charlestown, and the late Marianne (Vraibel) Walles and her husband, Kevin of Charlestown. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Richie's services and burial will be private.
