Obituary

Rita A. (Connolly) Brady, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at the Massachusetts General Hospital. She was 92 years of age.

Rita was born in Boston on October 17, 1926, a daughter of the late Martin Connolly and Abby (Connolly) Connolly. She grew up in Charlestown where she attended St. Catherine's Parochial School and graduated from Charlestown High School. Rita worked as a clerk for over 35 years at the Sears Roebuck Company.

Rita is the devoted wife of the late George Brady. She is the beloved sister of the late Agnes Connolly, Peggy Connolly, and Thomas F. Connolly. She is the loving aunt of Thomas R. Connolly and his wife Mary, John M. Connolly, Judy McGhee and her husband William, and Robert Connolly and his wife Susan, and great-aunt to Christopher Connolly, Ian Connolly, Ryan Connolly, Erin Petty, and Meaghan Robinson.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Rita's visiting hours on Monday morning, February 11, 2019 from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11 A.M. in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown. Her burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.
