Obituary

Robert F. "Bob" Gannon, a resident of Charlestown for over 40 years, entered into eternal life on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at his son's home in Medford following an extended illness. He was 82 years old.

Bob was born in Boston on September 17, 1932, a son of the late Michael J. Gannon and Ruth (Fay) Gannon. He grew up in Roxbury where he was educated in the Boston Public School system. Bob enlisted into the United States Marine Corps on May 21, 1951 and served his country with pride and courage during the Korean Conflict. He was discharged on May 20, 1954 with the rank of Private First Class. Bob worked for many years as a mover with Casey & Hayes Moving Company and was a member of the Teamsters Union local # 25.

Bob's Funeral Services and burial were held privately.
