Obituary

Rosa A. (Masaoy) Shackford, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at her home in Charlestown. She was 95 years of age.

Rosa was born in Boston on July 3, 1927, a daughter of the late Donato B. Masaoy and Norine (Kahle) Masaoy. She grew up in Charlestown where attended St. Francis De Sales Parochial School and graduated from Charlestown High School. Rosa cherished her family above all else.

Rosa is the beloved wife of the late Henry F. Shackford. She is the devoted mother of Michael J. Schackford and his wife Annie, and Mitchell J. Shackford. She is the loving sister of the late Donato Masaoy, Gloria Quimbao and her husband Frank, Delores Dobay and her husband Paul, and Jose Masaoy and his wife Janet.

At Rosa's request, her services are strictly private.
