Rose Marie (Carpenter) Carbonello, a 40 year resident of Medford and formerly of Charlestown, passed into eternal life on Friday, December 7, 2012 at The Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a courageous 4 year illness with cancer. She was 67 years old.
Rose was born in Boston on April 23, 1945, a daughter of the late Edward Carpenter and Loretta (Glavin) Carpenter. She grew up in Charlestown where she attended Boston Public Schools and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1962. Rose worked as a check processor for Melon Bank for over 17 years and retired in 2008. Rose enjoyed gardening and most of all caring for her family.
Rose is the beloved and loving wife of 47 years to Joseph S. Carbonello. She is the devoted mother of Christopher Carbonello and Greg Carbonello. She is the beloved sister of Frank Carpenter, Eddie Carpenter, Helen Carpenter, Loretta Arbuckle, Mary Morin and Cora Beals.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Rose's Funeral on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at 9 a.m. from the Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 10 a.m. Interment at Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. Visiting hours Tuesday, December 11, 2012 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
