Obituary

Ruth M. (Myers) McLaughlin, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Friday, March 29, 2013 at Eastpointe Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Chelsea following a lengthy illness. She was 79 years old.

Ruth was born in Boston on June 9, 1933, a daughter of the late Philip J. Myers and Ellen F. (Kehoe) Myers. She grew up in Charlestown where she attended Boston Public Schools and graduated from Charlestown High School. Ruth has been a homemaker most of her adult life taking care of her 4 children.

Ruth is the devoted mother of William McLaughlin and his wife Yoli of California, Sandra McLaughlin of Charlestown, Kim McMaster and her husband Tom of Lynn and Jay McLaughlin of Florida. She is the loving grandmother of 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She is the beloved sister of Claire Marchesi of Billerica, Frances Vita of New Hampshire and the late Johanna Peterson, Helen Hegarty and Philip Myers.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Ruth's Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 10 A.M. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. There are no funeral home visiting hours.
