Obituary

Santa "Sadie" Saccardo, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, died on Wednesday March 19, 2008 at Sunbridge Nursing Home in Portsmouth, New Hampshire after a long illness. She was 95 years old.

Sadie was born in Boston on September 27, 1912. She has lived her entire life in Charlestown and attended Boston Public Schools. Sadie was a homemaker most of her life.

Sadie is the beloved daughter of the late Salvatore and Antonina (Parisi) Saccardo. She is the devoted sister of the late Caroline, Christine, Steven, Leo, Guy, Larry and Salvatore Saccardo. She is the loving aunt of Frank Saccardo and grand-aunt of Jeanne Thibeault, Michael Saccardo, Cristin Pugliese and Dyann Romero.

Sadie's Funeral will be held on Tuesday March 25, 2008 at 9 a.m. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours will be held on Monday March 24, 2008 from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
