Obituary

Stephen F. "Chico" Buckley, a resident of Sandwich and formerly of Charlestown died on Monday, May 4, 2009, at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose following a lengthy illness. He was 58 years old.

Chico was born in Everett on November 29, 1950. He grew up in Charlestown where he attended Boston Public Schools. He had been working as a technician for a local alarm company.

Chico is the beloved son of the late retired Boston Fire Lt. Walter J. Buckley and Geraldine M. (Perkins) Buckley. He is the devoted brother of Eileen Murphy, Boston Firefighter Gerard Buckley, Boston Firefighter Timothy Buckley, Joseph Buckley, Boston Firefighter William Buckley and the late Cathy Buckley. He is the loving uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Chico's Memorial Mass on Saturday, May 9, 2009, at 10 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church, 324 Quaker Meeting House Road, East Sandwich. Cremation took place on Thursday, May 7, 2009.
