Obituary

Stephen M. Humphrey, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life suddenly at his home in Charlestown on Sunday, August 12, 2018. He was 53 years of age.

Stephen was born in Boston on November 6, 1964, a son of the late retired Boston Firefighter Ernest E. Humphrey and Ann E. (Blute) Humphrey. He grew up in Charlestown and was educated at St. Ann's Parochial School in Somerville and graduated from Boston Technical High School in Boston in 1982. Stephen enjoyed his family and friends and was always proud to say he was from Charlestown.

Stephen is the devoted brother of Ann Cunha and her husband Alan, retired Boston Firefighter Ernest Humphrey and his wife Donna and Garrett Humphrey. He is the loving uncle to Ashley Egan and her husband Kyle, Daniel Humphrey, Brent Humphrey and his wife Kerry, Evan Humphrey, Dean Humphrey and his great-nephews Andrew and Spencer.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Stephen's Funeral on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 8:30 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by his Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown at 9:30 A.M. His burial is private. His visiting hours will be on Friday, August 17, 2018 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the funeral home.
