Obituary

Theresa (Smisek) Ross, a 64 year resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Saturday, May 4, 2013 in Florida. She was 92 years old.

Theresa was born on the Phillipine Islands on October 15, 1920, a daughter of the late Lada Smisek and Encarnacion (Alfafara) Smisek. She grew up in the Phillipines where she was educated. She immigrated to the United States in 1949 and settled in Charlestown where she raised her family. Theresa enjoyed playing bingo and traveling to Foxwoods.

Theresa is the beloved wife of the late Edward J. Ross. She is the devoted mother of Corazon "Carol" Ross of Charlestown, Catherine "Kitty" Ross of Charlestown, Lada Ross and his wife Elaine of Revere, Elizabeth O'Brien and her husband Thomas of Weymouth, Richard Ross and his wife Debra of Andover, Therese Grossman and her husband Jeff of Boynton Beach, Florida, Christine Kennedy of Charlestown, Michelle Ross of Malden and the late Anthony Ross. She is the loving Nana of 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She is the beloved sister of Joseph Smisek of the Phillipines and the late Louise Monreal.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Theresa's Memorial Gathering on Saturday, May 18, 2013 from 2 to 4 P.M. with a Funeral Service at 4 P.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown.
