Veronica R. Kelley, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, October 28, 2026 at the Lowell General Hospital. She was 86 years old.

Veronica was born in Boston on February 15, 1940, a daughter of the late William C. Kelley and Catherine (McLaughlin) Kelley. She grew up in Charlestown where she was educated in the Boston Public School System and graduated from Boston Latin in 1958. She then went on to attend Emmanuel College, receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Russian Language and History. Veronica worked for over 30 years as an administrative clerk for a law firm. She was a devout Catholic, enjoyed reading mysteries, and loved her 2 cats Mr. Twinkles and Spooky.

Veronica is the beloved sister of Laurence Kelley, Vinceny Kelley and his wife Leslie, Orick Kelley and his wife Joan, Mary Elizabeth Jacobs and her late husband Joshua, and the late Gerald Kelley and his surviving wife Marjorie, Lorraine Montana, Bernadette Kelley, and Dorothy Kelley-Geraghty PhD. She is the loving aunt to 12 nieces and nephews, and many grandnieces and grandnephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Veronica's Funeral Mass on Tuesday, November 3, 2026 at 11 A.M. in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown(parking attendants provided). Her burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. There will be no funeral home visiting hours.
