Obituary

Veronica A. "Ronnie" (Walsh) Clifford, a 40 year resident of Burlington and formerly of Charlestown, died suddenly at her home in Burlington on Sunday, August 23, 2009. She was 67 years old.

Ronnie was born in Boston and grew up in Charlestown where she attended schools and graduated from Cathedral High School in Boston in 1959. She later attended Boston State Teachers College and Bunker Hill Community College. Ronnie dedicated her adult life to caring for her husband and children and enjoyed living in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, during the winter months.

Ronnie is the beloved wife of Attorney Charles A. "Buddy" Clifford. She is the devoted mother of Carol Marino and her husband Joseph of North Andover, Attorney Charles Michael Clifford of Charlestown, Steven Clifford and his wife Kristen of Burlington and the late Attorney Linda Clifford. She is the loving grandmother of James, Cassandra, Daniel, Linda, Katey and Jack. She is the beloved sister of Michael Walsh and his wife Winnie of Charlestown, Paul Walsh and his wife Sheila of Marblehead, Janet Walsh of Lowell and Robert "Ro" Walsh and his wife Judith of Marblehead.

Ronnie's Funeral will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2009, at 9 a.m. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill Street, Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill Street, Charlestown, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, August 26, 2009, from 3 to 8 p.m. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
