Obituary

William J. Bullock Jr., a 60 year resident of Somerville, died on Wednesday September 26, 2007 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston following an extended illness. He was 79 years old.

Bill was born in Boston and grew up in Somerville where he attended Somerville Public Schools. He enlisted into the United States Navy in December of 1945. He was a veteran of World War 2 and was discharged in September of 1946. Bill has been a member of Teamsters Union Local # 25 as a truck driver. He drove truck for Ginsburg Brother Trucking and Sweetheart Paper Company. He was also a driver for Green Cab Company in Somerville for over 40 years. He was a member of the Somerville American Legion Post # 388 and the Beachmont V.F.W. Post.

Bill is the beloved father of John Bullock and his wife Laura of Bedford, Linda Harris and her husband James of Charlestown, Tom Bullock and his wife Jill of Pennsylvania, Richard Bullock of Derry, New Hampshire, Danielle Bullock of Canton and Michelle Bullock of New Hampshire. He is also the loving grandfather of several grandchildren.

Bill's Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 1, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. in the Carr Funeral Home 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. Visiting hours for Bill will be held on Sunday September 30, 2007 from 2 to 6 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will take place at the Veterans Administration National Cemetery, Bourne at 12:45 p.m.
