William J. Bowman, a longtime resident of Everett and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Sunday, April 12, 2026 at his home in Everett following a courageous battle with cancer. He was 60 years of age.

Billy was born in Somerville on June 9, 1965, a son of the late Frank R. Bowman and Mary E. (Kane) Bowman. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated in the Boston Public School System before graduating from Everett High School. In 1990, Billy began Cityside Auto in Charlestown, where he has remained the dedicated owner and operator. He was a very selfless man who was always there to help others. He was a devoted family man who worked tirelessly to provide for them.

Billy is the beloved father of Andrew Bowman and Alicia "Penelope" Bowman and former husband of their mother Shannon. He is the loving Papa of William J. Bowman II and Maya Amber Kempel. He is the dear brother of Lee Bowman, Sean Bowman, Frank R. Bowman Jr., and Danielle Bowman-Sousa. He was the close friend of Trish. He is survived by many loving family members, friends, and especially by his two dogs Odin Hercules and Thor Thaddeus Bowman.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Billy's visiting hours on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 from 3 P.M. to 6 P.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. His burial will be private.
